MEDICAL NEEDS CASES

Occaisionally we come across cases of extreme neglect and/or special medical needs that severely decrease the chance of a dog/cat surviving at a shelter.  The Pet Rescue Center is supported by the medical supervision of Dr. Matthew Wheaton of Alicia Pet Care Center and if medical care is deemed necessary to fulfill the animals adoptability, we raise funds to provide that care many times in house.   Please enable us to continue to provide medical care as needed by sponsoring any of these common services necessary below. All medical cases we rescue would've otherwise been euthanized at the shelter for their condition, had we not taken them. Imagine that! Please help us pay our bills! We are grateful for any amount of support!

READ ABOUT KAYLEIGH'S BROKEN HEART:

UPDATE:

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully found a new loving family for Kayleigh - Thanks to Dr. Hays & Family!

May 5th, 2009 - We brought Kayleigh to Advanced Veterinary Care Center for her surgery yesterday morning, May 4th and it was a HUGE success thanks to the caring hands of Dr. Danielle Yuhas. They kept her overnight for observation and she responded well to the surgery. She wagged her tail the whole drive back to the PRC. Kayleigh will need her stitches to be removed by Dr. Wheaton in 10 days, a recheck with Dr. Yuhas in 30 days and a maintainence visit 1 time a year to be sure all is still well.

April 29th, 2009 - As all of you have so quickly and easily fallen in love with Kayleigh so did the caring doctors and staff at Advanced Veterinary Care Center. She checked out well for the surgery and is a perfect candidate for the repair to be done to her heart - specifically the abnormal blood vessel to be closed off. Surgery is scheduled for May 4th, 2009 @ 1:00 pm.

April 28th, 2009 - Thanks to all who have donated thus far. Kayleigh will visit Dr. Lesser for her consultation for surgery tomorrow (Wednesday). We will let you know when he plans to do her surgery. Check back often for updates!
